Access2Innovate Foundation – Frequently Asked Questions

There are no prerequisites to join our camps. If your child is outside the listed age or grade range, please contact us and we will review whether an age or grade override is appropriate.

Camp registration is based on the grade your child will be entering in September of the 2025–2026 school year.

If you believe your child would be a good fit for a camp outside their grade range, please email us at operations@access2innovate.com. Depending on the situation, we may be able to approve an age or grade override.

Yes! All of our camps include hands-on activities, and most programs offer a take-home mini project for participants.

Most camps run: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Kindergarten–Grade 1 camps (half-day):

  • 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Yes. Each full-day camp includes:

  • Two 15-minute breaks
  • One 40-minute lunch break

Whenever possible and weather permitting, students are encouraged to go outside for fresh air and movement.

Yes. At this time, we do not provide meals or snacks. Please pack lunch and snacks for your child.

  • A $50 sibling discount is automatically applied to the second child registered at the same time
  • Family discounts are available for families registering three or four children

Our instructors are experienced educators and professionals with backgrounds in engineering, illustration, physics, and computer science. All instructors are trained to deliver engaging, age-appropriate STEM learning experiences.

Camp changes may be approved if A2IF leadership approves the request based on the following conditions:

  • The request is made at least two weeks before the camp start date
  • Space is available in the requested camp
  • The change does not result in the cancellation of a camp

If you switch to a lower-priced camp, no refund will be issued, however a credit may be applied to any future A2IF activities that the student is welcomed to attend.

To request a change, please email operations@access2innovate.com.

You may cancel your registration at any time subject to the following terms and conditions:

Regular Situations:

  • If you cancel the registration within 48 hours after registration, you will be eligible for a full refund minus a $45.00 admin fee.
  • If you cancel 4 weeks before the beginning of the camp, you will be eligible for a 50% refund from the total registration fee.
  • If you cancel less than 4 weeks before the beginning of the camp, no refund will be available.

If your child starts our Camp program but misses an individual session or sessions due to illness, a personal conflict of schedule, or other reason, we are unable to provide a make-up session or provide a proportional refund or credit. However, our instructors will do their best to help your child catch up for the next day/session.

Special Situations:

If your child falls sick during the camp session and is unable to participate further in any other activity for the rest of the summer, there are two options available:

  • Option #1: You will be eligible for a prorated credit towards your account, to be used toward payment of any other future program offered by A2IF.
  • Option #2: A refund of the prorated amount will be returned to you, less a $45.00 admin fee.
Please note: A2IF will require a doctor’s note indicating the date of illness and the duration of time required for recovery.

In the unfortunate event that a parent loses his/her/their job and must remove the child from the Camp:

  • Option #1 (Before the start of the Camp): You will be eligible for a full refund, less a $45.00 admin fee.
  • Option #2 (During the Camp): You will be eligible for a prorated credit towards your account, to be used toward payment of any other future program offered by A2IF.
  • Option #3 (During the Camp): A refund of the prorated amount will be returned to you, less a $45.00 admin fee.
Please note: A2IF will require an official letter from your company confirming the termination of your employment.

Refunds that do not fall within these categories are subject to management discretion and are treated on a case-by-case basis.

In the case that A2IF has to cancel the Camp, you will be refunded the full amount paid, less a $45.00 admin fee.

As we know parents and schools often rely on our programs for the learning outcomes achieved by students. We therefore endeavour to always run our programs or sessions and avoid cancellations, except under exceptional or unforeseen circumstances.

If A2IF has to cancel the Camp altogether and no alternative arrangement can be made to run the Camp, parents will be refunded the full amount paid.

If an in-person whole program or individual session must be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances leading to school closure (e.g. weather-related “snow day”), and A2IF is able to switch to our STEM instructor-led online/remote synchronous program (similar activities taught online during the same time slot), and the child is able to participate, no credit or refund will be offered. No admin fee will be charged for this switch.

If the child is unable to participate in the instructor-led online/remote synchronous program as offered, parents will be refunded the full amount paid, less a $45.00 admin fee.

If your child starts our special-circumstances online/remote synchronous program but misses an individual session or sessions due to illness, scheduling conflicts, or other reasons, we are unable to provide a make-up session or a proportional refund or credit. Our instructors will do their best to help your child catch up for the next session.

Please note that A2IF will always make every effort to run all programs we commit to and would rarely cancel a program.
